Ticino is one of the most important and beautiful rivers in Italy, still rich in uncontaminated areas, nature, art, history, and traditions. The river and its valley are safeguarded and enhanced by Ticino Park, established by Regione Piemonte
in 1978 and declared "Biosphere Reserve" by UNESCO in 2002. This guidebook describes its territory, environments, the most important animal and vegetable species populating it, as well as the main itineraries along which it is possible to discover it. The guidebook is completed by hundreds of photos, detailed maps of the cycling tracks, and information on the cultural, recreational, and environmental training structures of the Park.
