Parco del Lago Trasimeno

The DOC wine Colli del Trasimeno is produced in considerable quantities, both red and white. The production area lies around Trasimeno Lake, a territory which in ancient times was inhabited by the Etruscans, who began to cultivate vineyards. Many cellars join today Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli del Trasimeno (Aziende agrarie del Trasimeno, Fanini, intercomunale del Trasimeno, La querciolana, Pieve del Vescovo, Podere Marella, Pucciarella, Villa Po' Del Vento).
The Park is crossed by Colli del Trasimeno Wine Road which, according to the involved wine areas, has different names:

• Among Hannibal's Fields: It includes the territory of Tuoro sul Trasimeno and Passignano Sul Trasimeno
• On the footprints of the Knights of Malta: It includes the territory of Magione
• Perugino's lands: It includes Panicale
• In Ascanio della Corgna's Marquisate: It includes the area of Castiglione del Lago.
