| Science and EntertainmentTrasimeno Park with its lake offers valid service structures for
sport and spare time: you can practice sailing with the support of
three Nautical Clubs. Sport fishing finds here its ideal environment;
the use of motor boats and water skiing are possible, even if with some
limits about the power installed and the place where it is possible to
practice them.
The mainly plain territory gives the possibility to
carry out a particularly pleasant touring by bike, which is favoured by
the easy accessibility to the Trasimeno offered by car services and by
the railway going along the lake from Magione to Passignano and to
Castiglione del Lago. A network of paths links the lake with the
hinterland: the paths are ideal for trekking and horse riding and they
are equipped with stop places. The areas where the presence of the
avifauna is more important are provided with some structures of
permanent observation and by electric boats. The lake environment is
particularly suitable for hydrologic and environmental studies
supported by the provincial structures of SIGLA ("Sistema Integrato Gestione Lago Agricoltura")
and those which have been recently inaugurated in the island Polvese
and which confirm its vocation as a great permanent environmental
education center.
