The "Man and Gypsum" Museum is at the Fortress of Brisighella.

The fortress was built in 1310 on one of the three gypsum pinnacles overlooking the town.

The "Man and Gypsum" Museum has been set up inside the fortress: an itinerary throughout the long history of the relationship between man and this land, and with the mineral that characterises it; from the Copper Age (caves of Tanaccia, Re Tiberio, Banditi), to the Roman era (Roman house of Carné, quarries of Lapis specularis), and the Middle Ages (castle of Rontana).
