The journey looking for new and beautiful things is one of the main features of modern tourism. Therefore, we are talking about "beauty", about the fact that it is a value: as a matter of fact, Valle d'Aosta is a region of great "beauty".
Valle d'Aosta houses a natural heritage of great beauty enclosed in protected areas, sites belonging to Natura 2000 ecological network, and alpine botanic gardens. Except for Gran Paradiso, these places and the reasons for which they are protected are not very well known.
"VIVA, Valle d'Aosta unica per natura" (http://www.vivavda.it/), represents a new way to safeguard the environment, stimulate a guided and aware use of nature, focusing on the participation to the "beauty" of the Region by the various actors involved: citizens, families, sportsmen, local communities, production activities.
The structures promoted by VIVA join the eco-sustainability specifications, commit themselves to respect the criteria for a correct management of the resources, waste disposal, use of materials with a low environmental impact, use of renewable energy sources, attention to the energy efficiency of the buildings, promotion of the sustainability and territorial typical features principles.
