Rete di Riserve del fiume Sarca - alto corso

Japanese knotweed

Japanese knotweed (Reynoutria japonica) is particularly widespread along the river Sarca, irreparably transforming some features of the riparian environment. Where the situation is still manageable or within protected areas, Reserve Network has carried out experimental containment actions and activated a qualified work group.
However, information and accountability of all are essential to counteract the loss of biodiversity caused by this invasive alien species.
