The Mountain Hut
Remondino Mountain Hut is famous as departure point for the "Via Normale" of South Argentera, the famous "Cima d'Argento" (silver summit), reaching the 3,297 meters.
It is the last great Italian summit of the Alps, at only 45 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. Situated at 2,430m on a beautiful and very panoramic balcony, the mountain hut lies in the middle of a circle of summits, near and far, with walls with very different exposures, with which the sun creates games of light and shadow during the day.

Accommodation
The Mountain Hut, owned by the CAI Section of Cuneo, has been named after Franco Remondino, second lieutenant of the Alpini and a promising young mountaineer who died in 1931.
The structure, completed in the year 2000, offers 46 beds in six rooms and one dormitory. It also offers en-suite rooms or rooms with toilet outside, showers with hot water, and telephone service. You can also enjoy a large outdoor terrace welcoming about thirty guests, with a wonderful fountain facing a beautiful and sunny granite wall.
When the mountain hut is closed, it is possible to use a winter premise with 12 beds, complete with blankets and mattresses. The premise, situated under the roof, is accessible thanks to a metal ladder outside the mountain hut.
