A Precious Evidence of the Ancient Landscape

The Nature Reserve includes forest areas and former cultivated fields laying on Quaternary deposits forming the upper stratum of vast alluvial terraces. Considering the physiognomic criteria, the vegetation is characterized by two main features: xerophilous and mesohygrophilous features. The tetrapod wildlife is significant for this upper plain environment.
