Riserva Naturale Orientata Cavagrande del Cassibile

One of the most spectacular features forming on the Hyblaean plateau because of the flowing of watercourses is the great canyon of Cava Grande del Cassibile, the Kakyparis of Greeks, at the mouth of which captain Demosthenes with 6,000 Athenians had to surrender in Siracusa, in 413 BC.
