Riserva Naturale Orientata Isola di Alicudi

Points of Interest

History, Landscape, and Man

Like its sister islands, Alicudi has provided throughout the centuries a safe landing stage for sailors, who left here traces of their passage. Among the islands, it is the least inhabited, also because it lies far off the coasts of Sicily. Archaeological material consisting of objects made of clay has been found in many locations: evidences of the Bronze Age, of the Hellenic and Roman periods.
