La Pietra Nature Reserve protects a territory almost entirely covered with woodlands between the stream Farma and the last stretch of the stream Farmulla. The name of the Reserve refers to the rocky spur of great landscape value dominating it, seat of rare botanical species; from its top (442m) you can dominate the underlying course of the stream Farma and, in the distance, Mt. Sassoforte and Mt. Alto which, joining in the west the mountains of Prata, close the basin of the stream Farma by separating it from the plain of Grosseto.
