By Car
From the A23 Motorway, exit Gemona-Osoppo, follow the signs to San Daniele, in Majano you will find the signs to Forgaria.
From Udine follow the signs to San Daniele, Majano, and then to Forgaria.
From Pordenone drive along the whole stretch of the spur route Cimpello - Sequals, then go ahead to Lestans Valeriano, Pinzano, Flagogna (municipality of Forgaria) and then to Cornino (municipality of Forgaria).
From Tarvisio go through the state highway Tarvisio-Udine, in Gemona follow the signs to Osoppo, in Majano you will find the signs to Forgaria.
By train or by bus
1st solution (the most comfortable one, with few changes and short waiting times, it allows you to organize your journey according to your needs):
- By train: stop in Gemona del Friuli (www.trenitalia.it).
- Then by bus Gemona - San Daniele - Forgaria nel Friuli (www.saf.ud.it, choose "linea extraurbana" then write "Gemona autostazione" in the departure box, and "Sompcornino località Glicini" in the arrival box). The bus is available only on working days, not on holidays. Furthermore schedule may be varied when also the school time is effective. The reserve visitor center is about 1 km far from the bus stop, about 15 minutes on foot.
When also the school time is effective some bus lines directly connect Gemona with Cornino di Forgaria (via Trasaghis), and the bus stop is about 500 m far from the visitor center.
2nd solution (less comfortable than the first one because of the many changes and the very few buses connecting Spilimbergo - Flagogna di Forgaria nel Friuli - Cornino di Forgaria nel Friuli):
- By train: stop in CASARSA (www.trenitalia.it)
- By bus (1st option): Casarsa-Spilimbergo-Flagogna di Forgaria nel Friuli (www.atap.pn.it, departure from Casarsa bus station, arrival at Flagogna-Ponte Armistizio); from here take the bus to Forgaria-Cornino (www.saf.ud.it departure from Flagogna-Ponte Armistizio arrival at Sompcornino locality of Glicini).
This 1st option can be chosen when the school time is effective, however it is not recommended because it is extremely uncomfortable and it does not allow you to easily organize your round trip. - By bus (2nd option): Casarsa - Spilimbergo - San Daniele (www.atap.pn.it departure from Casarsa bus station arrival at San Daniele-Piazza 4 Novembre). From here take the bus to Forgaria (www.saf.ud.it departure from San Daniele-Piazza 4 Novembre arrival at Sompcornino locality of Glicini).
This 2nd option offers more bus lines, but it is not available on sundays.
