Riserva Naturale Regionale Monte Genzana Alto Gizio

It was and still is the closest access to the castle. The statue above the arch represents Saint Anthony, placed between two pinnacles. Nearby there should have been a church dedicated to St Mark, mentioned in some documents, which gave its name to the area and the gate. The secondary name is due to the fact that a road, once called via delle Macchie, leads from this gate to the Church of San Rocco.
