Parish Church of San Secondo Martire (X Century)

Parish Church of San Secondo Martire: The first traces of its existence date back to 1014: in a bull of Pope Benedict VIII we read that the Church is assigned to the dependencies of the Monastery of Breme. In 1584, in a report by Mons. Peruzzi, Bishop of Turin, we read that the Church was found in a very bad state due to its age and in need of repairs to the floor, to the altars and to the Baptistery.

Reference was made to a painting on the wall, depicting the patron saint and a statue, which could be the current one in wood. The building was then very small and had the cemetery around it.
In 1752 the parish priest, Carlo Cominotto, prepared large renovation works: the church was raised and enlarged by adding side chapels. New works were organized in 1862 by don Giacomo Audisio: the building was extended adding the last two side chapels and the current façade was built.
