The project called GU.F.I. (Guide per la Fruizione Indipendente - Guides for an Independent Visit), born from the collaboration between Federparchi and the Management Consortium of Torre Guaceto, is financed by the Ministry of Employment and pursues the following aims:

  • sensitizing the public opinion and the operators of the tourist field to the issues of accessible tourism and the several "barriers" (mainly cultural) preventing people with disabilities to enjoy their right to spend their spare time independently;
  • dealing with the concept "Clients with special needs" and not "users with disabilities", where the word "client" applied to a person with disabilities would like to highlight that these people have the same dignity and potentials of everyone else.
