Riserva Naturale del Monte Lanaro

Opening image Riserva Naturale del Monte Lanaro
The area of the reserve is mostly covered with forest, in which the wide surfaces of karst brushwood alternate with woods of bay oaks and turkey oaks, while the southern part is more characterized by areas of copses situated under the trunks of the Scotch pines.
The deep dolinas are home to some rare species of flora that cannot be easily found in other parts of the region.
The presence of the wild cat and the European hedgehog in the area is quite relevant, while the presence of the black bear and the jackal seem marginal.
