Riserva Naturale Monte Rufeno

Onano Lentil is a leguminous plant produced within the homonymous Municipality and in a limited adjacent area with the same soil features. This cultivation boasts a very ancient tradition and was already mentioned in the document "Ordini, statuti, leggi municipali della comunità e popolo d'Onano" dating back to 1561. The product has a level, lenticular or rounded shape, with a diameter of 3-6mm. The color goes from dark lead to ashy-rosy, it has a tender husk which holds on cooking, with high sapidity and tenderness.
