| Panarea, whose eruptive activity dates back to about 500,000 years ago, is what remains of a medium-size stratovolcano characterized by several small secondary eruptive centers and rests of more or less large lava domes which have been partially dismantled by collapses and marine erosion. The particular environmental conditions also influence the distribution of the wildlife and its skills. |
