Environmental Education Program 2009/2010
Rio Torsero Regional Nature Reserve is situated near Ceriale, in the Province of Savona: it is famous for its very rich deposit of marine fossils dating back to the Lower Pliocene. "S:Lai" Paleontological Museum, recently renovated and housing rich collections with dozens of different species, gives visitors the opportunity to meet and better understand these evidences of the past.
The new beautiful exhibit transforms the understanding of history and the origins of the fossils found in Liguria into an appealing issue. The help of an expert and the simulated excavation activities give kids the opportunity to experiment "the profession of the paleontologist" in person.
