Brochure Ceremony for the reopening of "Galleria Piccola"
After a series of recovery measures, on Saturday 8th October 2011 at 10.30 a.m., along the ancient Via Flaminia in the Municipality of Fermignano, "Galleria Piccola del Furlo", one of the historical and archaeological jewels of the provincial territory, reopened. The initiative was part of the program of "II Giornata di Studi Vitruviani", promoted on 7th and 8th October by the Association "Centro studi Vitruviani", with the patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and the collaboration of the Province of Pesaro e Urbino, the Municipality of Fano, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Fano, and Gola del Furlo State-owned Nature Reserve. The inauguration ceremony of the gallery, promoted by Gola del Furlo Reserve, was attended by the President of the Province Matteo Ricci, the Mayor of Fermignano Giorgio Cancellieri, the Supervisor of the Archaeological Heritage of the Marches Giuliano De Marinis, the Culture Provincial Councillor Davide Rossi, and the Culture Town Councillor Fano Franco Mancinelli. Then they gave way to the speeches by the person in charge of the Reserve Maurizio Bartoli (who talked about the recovery measures) and by professor Mario Luni from the University of Urbino, who provided historical information on Galleria Piccola and Via Flaminia. On the occasion, the Reserve in collaboration with Poste Italiane organized a SPECIAL POSTAL STAMP.
On the occasion, a postcard dedicated to the event
has also been prepared.
