This path has been drawn by the Slovenian Alpine Association of Trieste between mountains and hills near the Italian-Slovenian border, along the territory where the Slovenian community in Italy lives. The "vertikala" is marked with white-blue round markers. In the Val Rosandra-Dolina Glinščice the Vertikala begins near the lookout in San Lorenzo-Jezero and continues under the Draški Kras, climbs the Mount Stena and climbs down to Bottazzo-Botač, and on the opposite slope it climbs up to the Santa Maria in Siaris - sv. Marija na Pečah small church, then it climbs down on the opposite side towards the Suha valley, below the walls named after the Slovenian mountaineer and philosopher Jug (1989-1924).

The path continues on the ridge. Through a fork one can reach Socerb by following the road signs leading to the castle. The Vertikala is marked up to Muggia.

It is not a ring-route; it can also start from the Visitor Center.
