Information
In Monticello Visitor Center, open during the weekends in spring and autumn, you can find information and material on the itineraries, accessibility, guided visits, visits by boat, visits to the hydroelectric power plant of Levane, environmental education activities. The Visitor Center offers rich documentation on the ecology of the main systems of the Nature Reserve: the wetland, the watercourses, and the wood. The Center has also an equipped didactic hall, a small library, and a corner for projections and meetings.
You can also ask for information to the Official Tour Guides, the Province of Arezzo, and the Information Office of the Municipality of Pergine in Montalto.
Visiting the Nature Reserve
Two trails leave from the Visitor Center. Trail A (2.3 km; 45 min.) gives the opportunity to reach the bend of Bandella and to go ahead, across woods and agricultural areas, towards the Locality Pian di Chena.
Accommodation
There are various accommodation opportunities: in the main Municipalities of the Nature Reserve, situated within a few kilometer radius, and in some holiday farms situated within or near the protected area: in loc. Il Palazzo (Pergine Valdarno), Poggio Asciutto (Montevarchi), Monticello, and Campogialli (Terranuova Bracciolini). Catering service at Acqua Borra, Pian di Chena, Ponte Romito, and in Montalto.
