"Maurizio Monti" Wildlife Path

  • Trail Conditions: On foot
  • Duration: 4 hour/s

About 4 hours walking time. Marked with red bullets, the Wildlife Trail ring-route (11 panels dedicated to the fauna of the Nature Reserve) leaves from Alpe Serte and partially follows "Via dei Canti" itinerary. It moves away from it shortly after Alpe Serte, crossing the stream Soldo and climbing westwards to get to the panel dedicated to the Cave Bear (panel 4). Here, taking a detour to Alpe Mapel, along a steep trail you will reach in about one hour the Cave of the Bear (Bus del la Noga, 1,313m). Back to the main trail (panel 4), you will take again the itinerary of "Via dei Canti" and climb to Passo Stretto. From here on the two trails coincide. The panels have been prepared in order to provide information on the fauna of the Reserve and on the way to observe and recognize it, also through the traces and signs of its presence. Panels 2 - 6 - 10 - 11 include multimedia material and naturalistic finds for the direct recognition of the species.
