Casa del Fiume (The House of the River) is Casa del Parco of Valle dell'Aniene Nature Reserve. It lies within Casale Scarpa, a structure belonging to the Municipality of Rome and whose management has been entrusted to the Park Authority. Casa del Fiume has been renovated and opened by RomaNatura in autumn 2001. It includes an info point, a multimedia permanent exhibit dedicated to the life of the river in the past and in the present, a didactic lab equipped with aquaria, interactive models, and instruments to observe microorganisms. The current joint management of the Park House and its opening to the public are guaranteed by the Association Insieme per l'Aniene onlus which, together with V Municipio, also manages and promotes Casale della Cervelletta, housing a small Museum of the Rural Life.
