Sports-Recreational Tourism

The massif of Durmitor Mt is like made for many sports activities, especially for those who prefer natural ambience.

Sports Fishing

Sports fishing is permitted on the river Tara, on Crno and Vrazije jezero (Black and Devil’s lake) in the period from 1st May to 1st October in the following terms:

The river Tara:

  • Wednesday: from II Logor to Veliki most (The big bridge)
  • Friday: from Veliki most (The big bridge) to Zugica Luka
  • Saturday: from Zugica Luka to Bijela vrela
  • Sunday: from Tepacki most (The Tepac bridge) to Badnjina
    Maximal catch: 3 /three/ trout

Black Lake:

  • on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 14 to 19 PM
    Maximal catch: 4 /four/ trout

Vrazije jezero (Devil’s Lake):

  • On Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 15 to 19 PM.
    Maximal catch: 3 /three/ trout

Daily Sports Fishing Permission:

on the river Tara: 15.00 Euros per person
- for Crno and Vrazije Lakes: 10.00 Euros per person


Rafting

Rowing, Kayaking, and Rafting

Rowing on the Lake: Visitors can hire boats for cruising on Crno jezero (Black Lake).
Renting the boat on Crno jezero (Black Lake): 8.00 Euros per hour

Kayaking: One of the most interesting activities is kayaking on the river Tara. The starting point is from II Logor to NP borders – Susica and lasts 1-2 days.

Rafting: One of the most frequent activities is rafting on the river Tara. Rafting by the wooden rafts and gym boats is organized by NP organization and other tourist organizations-agencies, as well.
The safest rafting is from 1st July to 15th September when the Tara water level is adjustable for rafting.

Rafting on the river Tara in the organization of NP Durmitor:

  • tour to Scepan polje by classic raft for 10 passengers (without food and accommodation): 1,800.00 Euros
  • rafting tour to Radovan Luka for 10 passengers (without food): 1,400.00 Euros

Rafting on the river Tara in the organization of other tourist agencies:

  • tour for 10 passengers, from II Logor to the mouth of the river Susica into Tara (the border of NP Durmitor): 300.00 Euros
  • tour from starting point II Logor to Radovan Luka: 250.00 Euros
  • ticket per one person, over 10 passengers to NP borders: 35.00 Euros
  • ticket per one person to Radovan Luka: 30.00 Euros

  • Boat cruising up to 5 persons (two days): 200.00 Euros
  • Boat cruising per person, over 5 passengers, two days: 45.00 Euros

  • Rafting from II Logor to Zugica Luka (per person): 10.00 Euros

  • Two-seat kayaking to Zugica Luka: 30.00 Euros, per day
  • One-seat kayaking to Zugica Luka: 20.00 Euros

Horseback riding

Visitors who like horseback riding could rent horses and enjoy in the nature of the primeval beauty in the National Park.


Mountaineering... and not Only!

Durmitor is one of the best marked mountains in Europe and the visitors have the possibility for mountaineering with or without guides.
There is also a mountaineering map where all mountain paths are marked and the most famous are:

  • Black Lake (Crno jezero) - Zminje jezero (1 h)
  • Black Lake (Crno jezero) - Jablan jezero (Poplar Lake) (2 h)
  • Black Lake (Crno jezero) – Ledena pecina (Ice cave) (3 h)
  • Black Lake (Crno jezero) – Bobotov kuk (5.30 h)

Mountaineers also often use the path to Skrka (1,731m a.s.l.) where Mountain home is situated. You can climb the highest peaks – Bobotov kuk and Prutas (2,393m a.s.l.) from there and see two glacial lakes, as well.
The locality of Skrka is famous since it is rich in wild world (chamois, deer, bear…) and attractive for photo-safari.
The exceptional terrain configuration enables the visitors to occupy with some popular sports today: free climbing, mountain biking, orienteering, paragliding, snowboard...


Rally Tour

For auto-terrain-vehicle fans, it is organized round rally tour around Durmitor - Durmitor’s ring -, with cross country vehicles-jeeps, in the length of 75 km.
The tour goes from Zabljak across Stuoc, the plateau of the village Mala Crna Gora, across the canyon Susica, where National Park has, in the Susica canyon, its Mountain Home, then across the village Nedajno, Trse, Pisca, Todorov Do, Dobri Do, Sedlo, Poscenske mountains, Stozine and return to Zabljak.
