Isola dei Conigli
The site lies in zone A of the Marine Protected Area, which includes
most of the territory of the nature protected area of Lampedusa and, in
general, corresponds to the need to safeguard habitats of great nature
and landscape value.
"Riserva Naturale Orientata" Isola di
Lampedusa (EUAP 1114) was established with D.D.A.A. 291/44,
16.5.95–533/44 11.8.95, and is managed by the Environmental Protection
Association "Legambiente".
The perimeter of the nature reserve, lying in the territory of the
Municipality of Lampedusa and Linosa, has been established by the
regional plan regarding parks and reserves, approved with D.A. 970/91,
plus a small area in the north of the Sanctuary of Madonna di Porto
Salvo and within the area of Conigli Bay, our site of interest.
