A delegation of Italian technicians guided by Andrea Gennai, Director of the Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli Park Authority, flew to Dubai at invitation of the sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take the first step towards a collaboration with which the pines of the historical San Rossore estate will be one day planted in the city.
With the expedition, entirely financed by the emir, who stayed in San Rossore on the occasion of the event "Toscana Endurance Lifestyle 2015" in August and fell in love with the pinewoods characterizing most of the protected area's landscape, the Park Authority keeps the promise of giving technical support in the planning and in the building of a pinewood in Dubai.
The collaboration fits in a context of relationships with the emirate which are becoming more solid, which included a meeting, in Marina di Pisa in October, between the Park Authority President Fabrizio Manfredi and Saqer Nasser Ahmed Abdullah Alraisi, ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Italy. A new visit to San Rossore of the sheikh is planned in summer 2016.
