Orbassano Red Celery

The red celery tradition in Orbassano is ancient, it dates back to the 17th century, when the duchess of Savoy Anna Maria d'Orléans, married with the king Victor Amadeus II of Sardinia, brought with her from France the Tours violet celery, which was tastier and more tender than those cultivated in Piedmont at that time.
