Year 2010 has been declared by the UN "International Year of Biodiversity". The commitment of Veglia Devero Park for the safeguard of the environment, and therefore of biodiversity, has always been a priority.
Our territory is characterized by a great biological diversity consisting of a rich variety of environments and species, also rare species, that has led the European Union to establish within Veglia e Devero protected area a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and a Special Protection Area (SPA), according to what established by the European Directives "Habitat" and "Birds".
