From Roccacasale, distinguished by the castle enclosure that dominates the plain, climb the steep ramps which from the village take you to the castle and you will meet trail R3 that climbs along the mountainside towards east. The itinerary, which is open and bright, is characterised by Mediterranean vegetation (brooms, common hawthorns, aromatic and medicinal plants) and by black pine reforestation.
