At the wonderful medieval agricultural courtyard of Giarola (Collecchio), located on the right bank of the Taro river, in axis with Via Francigena that led pilgrims to the Eternal City, next to the already existing Tomato Museum, there is the Pasta Museum. It is inserted into the context of the wider circuit of the Food Museums of the province of Parma (Museum of Parmigiano Reggiano in Soragna, of Wine in Sala Baganza, of Salami in Felino, of Prosciutto and cold cuts in Langhirano), to complete a course of in-depth study of the important local food products.
The dried pasta of durum wheat semolina, of Middle East origin, has found its home in Italy, developing over the centuries in the different areas of the country: in Sicily, in Liguria, in Naples, in Bologna.
