Riserva Naturale Boschi del Giovetto di Paline

Vegetation represents one of the main aspects of Sasso Malascarpa Nature Reserve, rich in environments of Community interest like meagre meadows, becoming rare and therefore needing protection. Also the cliff areas are rather interesting, since they house various endemic species belonging to the flora of Insubria.
The management of the area by ERSAF aims at preserving these natural environments through renaturization measures regarding artificial conifer formations (above all, fir tree and larches), control of the woodland advance, and maintenance of the flora of the cliffs.
