Cycling Trail "Coppi"

The trail leaves from the crossroads between SP Ponte Gregoriano-Allerona and Via Cassia. Go ahead for about 7 km along the course of the river Paglia up to Casale S.Anna. Reach the gate in loc. Marzapalo introducing to the protected area. Here, a demanding uphill stretch begins: as a matter of fact, this stretch develops for 4.5km on the hillside. Halfway, you will touch Casale Marzapalo. At the end of the uphill stretch, turn left in direction Tigna. After a straight stretch, you will find a junction: here, turn right to Tigna-Macchione. Take the downhill path to Casale Olivena; here, after a sudden left bend, a rather steep downhill path leads to Fosso dell'Acquachiara. Fording is not difficult; the following slippery rocky slab is more dangerous.
Another uphill stretch will lead you to Casale Sambucheto, where the road is broader and leads to the gate of entrance no. 2. Only another short uphill stretch divides us from the last stretch leading to the departure point, touching the beautiful Sant'Angelo country church, with the homonymous holiday farm.
