A photografic survey of the Protected Natural Areas of Rome
The System of Protected Areas situated in the Municipality of Rome
covers today 14,000 hectares: archaeological sites, villas and
farmsteads are only a part of the richness of these parks, whose real
treasure is represented by the several species living in their various
environments. Most of the territory has preserved the typical aspect
and traditions of the Roman Countryside, panoramas and images which are
often not well known and that are presented here in a survey rich in
wonderful pictures (106), with descriptions in Italian and English.
