According to the experts of what has become a subject matter, landscape is much more linked to History than to Geography.
It represents the historical memory of a territory, as we see it thanks to the several elements forming it.
The territory (geography), as it has been created by nature, but also as it has been transformed by man over the centuries (history).
Therefore, the landscape is natural history, but also the history of people, traditions, events, victories and defeats, constructions and destructions.
Each element of a landscape is at the same time event and witness of events, witness of what the landscape itself recalls and represents.
