A large forest of beech trees, of historical importance
The ZSC between the Municipalities of Caneva, Polcenigo and Budoia covers 2,713 hectares in the pre-Alpine area. The orography of the Cansiglio plateau is typically karst and therefore articulated with many shallow cavities, caves, sinkholes and shallow holes, while the alternation of reliefs and sinkholes causes thermal inversion phenomena, evident by its flora.
