The ZSC Magredi of Coz covers a small territorial portion of 10 hectares of the high Friuli plain, on coarse carbonate sediments and their consequent principles of acidification. The site is located on the left Tagliamento and is 2,5 km far from the Tilaventino fluvial complex. This is the smallest Natura 2000 site in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region with a reduced geography and habitats. In any case, it preserves some meadows due to large land reclamations for the conversion of fields and pastures into intensive cultivation.
