In the nursery area there are two greenhouses: one made of wood and situated underground for the succulent plants, and one built recently for the growth and the sowing of the new garden plants.
In 2014 it has been equipped with a system which also provided the use of photovoltaic panels made of a new photoactive material consisting of copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) inserted within the greenhouse's glasses. It is expect to reduce the consumption of energy used for the greenhouse and for the refrigerators that keep the seeds in the laboratory for biodiversity. The main goal has an educational nature: to spark reflections and propose advanced solutions against the waste of natural resources.
