News from the Italian Parks

The "Praterie" project's staff met on July 17th for the usual monthly meeting in order to analyze the progresses of the actions provided in the project.
The current situation of the "Praterie" project has been evaluated as generally successful by the internal and external coordinators who registered the progresses of the different actions and their correspondence to the programs, both considering their realization time and effectiveness. The main results have been registered for the following actions: A1 - Preparation of the administrative and legal basis, and also the Actions A3 and A4 constantly develop at the same time. Action 5 - Assessment of management problems, and A6 - Reconnaissance of the watering troughs to be restored. Action C2 - Fostering homogeneous grazing practices, and C3 - Concertation Activities. The Action E2 - Visitor and Information Centers , E3 - Information Materials, E4 - Communication plan, E5 - Web Site and E6 - Networking Activities have been all successfully launched.
