The participatory process with the territory's stakeholders starts

Target: writing a framework regulation for grazing together
(21 Nov 13)

On Tuesday 26th November, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, at the Elodia Restaurant in Camarda (AQ), within the Life "Praterie" project, the first important workshop will take place to share the actions regarding the development of a framework regulation on the grazing activity for the Campo Imperatore area, to be drawn up together with the institutional as well as socioeconomic stakeholders of Gran Sasso's southern side.

The meeting aims at widening the project's human dimension as much as possible, so that all the stakeholders - Park Authority, municipalities, Provinces, Regions, ASBUC, Proloco, zootechnical entrepreneurs, farmers and their trade associations, Tourist Operators, State Forestry Corps, ASL Veterinarians, ATC and all those who are affected by the presence of the Park and by the "Praterie" project's actions - can make their useful and precious contribution.

The workshop introduces a long and complex participation process with the territorial stakeholders that will be developed in the next five years: a highly qualifying commitment of the project because it aims at concretely involving the territory in the goal to draw up the Framework Regulation for the Grazing Activities.

After the previous experience of the initiative "Il Parco in ascolto" and of the other active choices which for some years have been positively guiding the coexistence between the socioeconomic activities and the common conservation interests within the protected area, the workshop, in the same way as the future meetings, will be managed and monitored according to active methodologies entrusted to a team of professional Facilitators, and it will be validated from the scientific point of view by the University of L'Aquila, and from the legal point of view by the University of Perugia.
