LIFE Praterie mentioned as a good practice in Philip Lymbery’s book “Dead Zone”

(10 Apr 17)

The last chapter of Philip Lymbery's book "Dead Zone" begins with the author's trip to Gran Sasso-Laga National Park, to visit the LIFE Praterie project area. "Dead Zone" - a continuation of his previous work "Farmageddon" - is the result of a two-year research in several parts of the world, highlighting how intensive breeding is having a devastating impact on wild fauna. The book proposes to restore open-air animal breeding, in order to guarantee the animals' wellbeing and respect of wild fauna; therefore, some pages are devoted to Gran Sasso and to the Park's strategic actions in the framework of the LIFE "Praterie" project.
