Bosco delle Querce di Seveso e Meda: A Place to Remember

The forest was born in 1983. The environmental and forest works started in 1984 and ended in 1986. Bosco delle Querce is planted in the territory polluted by the toxic cloud released on 10th July 1976 by the ICMESA factory in Meda containing, among other toxic substances, also dioxin.
The area was entirely cleaned up through the demolition of the existing buildings and the removal of the superficial ground. The decision was taken after a debate lasting years.
