Ancient 19th century farmstead, former rural building of the Royal Stables of the Savoy Family, it has been entirely renovated and transformed into a Guest House and Visitor Center of the Park and refreshment point. Surrounded by the woodlands and pinewoods of the exclusive and prestigious former presidential estate of San Rossore, it lies a few steps from the sea and at only 3 km of distance from the town of Pisa.
Casale La Sterpaia offers didactic halls with multimedia equipment to carry out environmental education activities. Moreover, residential stays for school groups are organized in the farmstead.
The programs, lasting two or more days, combine tours in the various Park environments and activities in the classroom and in the laboratory. The activities can be personalized and agreed on with the teachers according to the didactic needs.
