Lobster

Lobster fishing has very ancient roots in the town of Alghero.
In order to fish the precious crustacean, the local fishermen used to sail up to Mal di Ventre Island.
Lobsters, fished with the traditional lobster pots, were stored in special fish farms obtained within the boats built by the old masters of Alghero.
Today, the lobster is the symbol of the cuisine of Alghero and is prepared "à la catalana": with onions, tomatoes, lemon, vinegar, black pepper, salt and extra-virgin olive oil, increasingly appreciated by connoisseurs.
