Spina Verde is crossed by several trails. Among them, there are the 13 official trails, adequately cleaned and made safe every year by the Park Authority. In the main sites of panoramic, historical, and naturalistic interest, the Park Authority has installed cases and panels illustrating these places.
The brochure and the map of the trails are available free of charge in the Park Offices in Cavallasca. The Park suggests various kinds of itineraries.
These itineraries connect the military positions and the works of defense of different periods (medieval fortresses in Baradello, defense positions of the two world wars, in particular the trenches of World War I in Spina Verde); they therefore combine the pleasure of the tourist trip in nature with the themes of history and military tactics.

Spina Verde Park does not only include important cultural sites, but it also represents the greatest green lung for Como and the adjacent Municipalities. As a matter of fact, the Park is a primary source of biodiversity of the regional and provincial ecological network. This importance is given to the "wildlife" presence, including 150 species among birds, amphibians, fish, and mammals, besides important invertebrate species (like the Stag Beetle and the Freshwater Crayfish). Various nature itineraries, with the necessary trail markers, lead hikers to discover the ecological role played by Spina Verde.
