In front of the Mountain Hut, at an altitude of 1,250 meters, surrounded by a beech and conifer forest, opens the wonderful Piana di Lagdei. Wide meadows ideal for a relaxing break, peat bog areas rich in natural features, small streams where children can play. The Mountain Hut hosts a new and well-equipped Park Information Point, and the main paths leading to the most beautiful places in the Apennines start from Lagdei. Easier itineraries of great naturalistic value start and finish at the Mountain Hut. As an ideal stage for hiking on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike, the Mountain Hut offers an annual calendar of guided excursions, nature visits, and environmental education activities for schools, as well as entertainment for children. Environmental courses and workshops are organised in an equipped room.

Spring water from our mountains, a cuisine with traditional, simple, and genuine ingredients: homemade cappelletti and tortelli, porcini mushrooms, game cooked according to tradition, no stock cubes or “added” tastes. Milk, parmesan cheese, and many other things come from organic farming.
The sweet ham comes from our valleys, the typical cheese, cakes and spongata cakes are home-made, as are the honey and the chestnut flour.

The Mountain Hut is equipped with 9 rooms with two, three, four, six and eight beds.
The cosy rooms are characterised by a country mountain style, with wooden bunk beds, wardrobe, and bedside table.
They are equipped with heating and ensuite or shared bathroom, while the beds are provided with woollen blankets. >>>
