Malcesine is proud of its precious oil obtained from the olive groves that are cultivated in an oasis situated between the foggy Po Plain and the glaciers of the Alps; the thermal action produced by the waters of the lake has given the opportunity to cultivate the olive tree since the times of the first Etruscan and Roman pioneers.
The slow ripening of the olives produced by centuries-old plants gives the opportunity to obtain a high-quality oil characterized by an unmistakable taste, by an intense golden green coloring, rich in vitamins and with a very reduced acidity (an average of 0.10 - 0.30).
