The morphology consists of an almost uninterrupted series of closed basins (dolines) with a flat and fennel-shaped bottom and a diameter going from a few meters to some hundred meters. It is a wide forest with Silver and Spruce Firs alternating with two areas characterized by herbaceous vegetation and by a permanent stretch of water (lama) housing a rich population of amphibians (Alpine Newt, Crested Newt, Green Frogs), and where bird species typical of the wetlands have been observed (Grey Heron and Mallard). The Black Stork has also been sighted. Among the protected flowers, Orchis militaris.
