Lago Borello, or Stagno di Oulx, is the one and only Val di Susa valley bottom wetland uphill Susa: in 1995 a Wildlife Sanctuary was established to protect the area from hunting, safeguard the rich ecosystem, and protect both resident birds and birds of passage which find here a place to rest and a shelter. The lake is charming in any season: in winter it is white and frozen, in summer, lit by the sun, it reflects the surrounding nature.
