An expense of trees... and suddenly the sky appears!

The Val Alba Regional Nature Reserve was established in 2006 thanks to an action financed by the European Union and promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, with the contribution of the Prealpi Giulie Nature Park Authority which manages the Nature Reserve.
This area has been chosen for its natural and historical-cultural peculiarities, it is situated on the Southern Carnic Alps' eastern sector, near the Alps and the Prealpi Giulie, extending over almost 3,000 hectares in the municipality of Moggio Udinese.
It is situated in the lower stretch of the basin of the river Fella, which is a left tributary of the river Tagliamento, exactly within the two drainage basins plowed by the rivers Alba and Simon.
